The Annual Felicitation Event, aimed at motivating and acknowledging the excellence achieved by the sports personalities associated with Deccan Gymkhana across various sporting disciplines, took place on February 24, 2024, from 05:00 PM onwards.
Distinguished sportspersons, veterans, and coaches who have showcased remarkable performance at the State, National, and International levels were honored during the event. The felicitation ceremony was presided over by Girish Inamdar Hon. General Secretary, and Mr. Miheer Kelkar, Honorary Finance Secretary, along with the esteemed presence of Mr. Veerdhaval Khade, a Arjuna Awardee & a renowned swimmer, as the Chief Guest. Notably, this recognition extended to specially-abled sportspersons as well.
The event witnessed a significant turnout, with members of Deccan Gymkhana, parents, and well-wishers gracing the occasion. An incredible event filled with talented cricketers among the members has made the Deccan Gymkhana Cricket League 2023 a memorable one. The Event took place from 20th March 2023 to 25th March 2023 at the Cricket ground of DG.
The matches were intense, and the players put in their hearts and soul to showcase their skills on the field. It was inspiring to see their passion for the game.
Throughout the week, the energy was high, and the atmosphere was electric, with cheering and clapping echoing through the ground.
The Champions were TEAM RHINOS this year amongst the 10 Teams. Special Thanks to the organizers Mr. Miheer Kelkar and Vishwesh Katakkar.
